Selling a Home or Property

 

When selling your home there are a few things to consider. You should price your home at the right price. Too high of a price and your home won't sell. Too low of a price and you will have many offers but may sell under market value meaning you may have lost earnings you should have made. Here are some tips I give my clients to better help with pricing

1. Obtain a competitive market analysis from your Realtor(R). I provide this service free of charge to my customers so that they know what their home is worth in today’s market and can price it competitively.

2. Repair anything that may increase the value of your home and is worth the investment.
Example: A home can only sell at $70,000 because the second bathroom is incomplete and comparable homes sell at $105,000 in the area. Investing $5,000 in the bathroom may be worth the investment being that it may drives the sale price to $100,000 or higher.

3. When showing the house be sure to make it as neat as possible. The cleaner, neater, and newer the property looks, the easier it will be to negotiate your asking price with a buyer.
